TRILUX: Sustainability at the heart of the corporate philosophy

The goal is clear: by 2025, the German TRILUX production sites are to be completely climate-neutral. To achieve this, processes along the entire value chain are being consistently rethought and optimised - from production to administration and transport. This commitment shows that progress and sustainability are not opposites, but can work together to shape a sustainable future.
Circular economy: responsibility down to the last detail
Conserving resources is therefore part of everyday practice at TRILUX. Valuable materials are recycled, reused or returned to the cycle. The Arnsberg site achieves an impressive separate collection rate of 90%. The packaging concept is also impressive: multiple packaging is now available for many series. TRILUX is also continuously working on innovative concepts to further reduce unnecessary packaging material.
Research as a driver for sustainable innovation
With the SUMATRA project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, TRILUX and its partners have researched ways to make LED lighting even more sustainable. The findings are groundbreaking: the largest proportion of CO2 is produced during the utilisation phase of the lighting. Efficient luminaires and intelligent lighting management therefore offer the strongest levers for reducing energy consumption and the associated emissions. Based on the SUMATRA results, a particularly sustainable luminaire prototype was also developed as a demonstrator.
Modularity is the key: the Yonos lighting system
The Yonos lighting system stands for future-orientated flexibility and is another milestone towards greater sustainability. It adapts to individual office concepts and can be easily extended or converted as required. Individual luminaires as well as strip lighting and lighting structures are easy to realise with Yonos - with a consistent design language and highly efficient lighting technology. At the end of their life cycle, the components can be easily recycled and thus reused in an environmentally friendly way. The modular system design also minimises transport costs and reduces storage space requirements. For even more sustainability, Yonos is manufactured at a TRILUX production site in Germany - for short delivery routes within the EU.
TRILUX is therefore not only setting new standards for innovative lighting solutions, but is also actively helping to shape an environmentally conscious and sustainable future.
