Homemade roasted almonds!

If you stroll over a Christmas market, the scent of freshly roasted almonds quickly rises into your nose. Peanuts, macadamia nuts or walnuts also taste wonderful with this sugar-sweet glaze. And best of all: you can do it yourself easily and quickly (approx. 10 minutes)! Nicely packed in small bags or glasses, the roasted nuts are also perfect as a gift.

Roasted Almonds in a bowl


  • 200 g almonds
  • 200 g sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • ½ tablespoon cinnamon



Put the sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon in a pan, mix and add the water. Bring the mixture to boil and add the almonds. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar dries and wraps around the nuts. Then lower the temperature and keep stirring until the sugar melts slightly and the almonds start to shine. Place the nuts on a baking sheet and let cool down. Ready!
