The renowned exhibition in the lagoon city is still open until November 26 and has already fascinated and inspired numerous visitors and revealed new perspectives. This year, the Architecture Biennale is curated by the Ghanaian-Scottish architect Lesley Lokko - under the fascinating theme "The Laboratory of the Future". The focus is on visions of the future, sustainability and the African continent. It's about decolonization and decarbonization.
The German Pavilion also wants to critically question 2023 under "Open for Maintenance - Wegen Umbau geöffnet". It is curated by ARCH+ / SUMMACUMFEMMER / BÜRO JULIANE GREB, which is dedicated to the topic of recycling. Interested visitors can also get active themselves in a workshop. Particularly exciting: The exhibition contribution was realized with used material from the Biennale Arte 2022. Numerous national pavilions supported the project and provided the demolition material of their exhibition architectures.
In May, BERÜHRUNGSPUNKTE already had the honor of welcoming numerous architects and architecture enthusiasts to its renowned Meetingpoint in Venice as part of the Architecture Biennale. The event was a great success, offering an extensive program and the perfect opportunity to network in a historic setting. Katharina Benjamin from the Leipzig-based online magazine Kontextur also visited, took a look around the Biennale grounds and told us her five highlights.
Take the opportunity and visit the Venice Architecture Biennale until the
