Always travel to new places never stop exploring don't put your feet up but get those legs moving travelling instead of holidaying. I like to be in places that combine three-dimensional landscapes (lots of topography) with the local vernacular and contemporary architecture. Take South Tyrol for instance: Hybrid cultures between Italy and Tyrol, fantastic cuisine, the most beautiful mountains in the world and a growing global player with lots of good modern architecture.
2. WHAT DOES TRAVELLING MEAN TO YOU?
Let yourself be surprised; get yourself drawn into a slow, forward movement. Regularly, don't plan on knowing where you're going to sleep that night. Open the door to chance – if you never leave, you never come home!
3. ON FOOT, BY BIKE, CAR, TRAIN, SHIP OR PLANE?
Anything that leaves set paths, fixed schedules. Better on foot, by bike or car.
4. WHAT IS YOUR MUST HAVE ITEM IN YOUR LUGGAGE?
A credit card and a connection to the world for your digital device: A laptop, a smartphone and an uplink. Being connected doesn't necessarily mean having to work, but rather the ability to make spontaneous plans when you're on the move. Freedom is the possibility of choosing to be here or anywhere else at the same time. After all, being off the beaten track does not mean to be off the grid.
